چکیده
Considerable efforts have been devoted to the topic of wave–seabed interactions in last two decades because growing offshore activities. The existing studies based on one-way coupling approach. In this study, a new two-way algorithm is proposed overcome contradiction at fluid–sediment interface between physical process and theoretical models. numerical results indicates that seabed responses obtained by model are slightly lower than model. However, significantly affects Shields number would further affect scour process. Parametric analysis larger wave height, current velocity soil permeability smaller water depth, shear modulus saturation degree increase difference algorithms. Meanwhile, algorithms significant around mono-pile dumbbell cofferdam, compared with case without structure.

Numerical Modeling of Seismic-induced Soil Response Around Submarine Pipeline
Seismic-induced pore pressure and effective stresses in the saturated porous seabed under seismic loading are the main factors that govern the overall stability of submarine pipelines. In most of the previous investigations for the seismic-induced dynamic response around a submarine pipeline have been limited to two-dimension cases. In this paper, a three-dimensional finite element model includ...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Two-wave Structures in Shock-induced Martensitic Phase Transitions
We consider a class of shock-loading experiments which, as a result of solid-to-solid phase transitions, give rise to certain characteristic patterns consisting of two shock-like waves. We show that the single assumption that stresses in a phase cannot lie beyond the transition boundaries leads to a complete mathematical description of the physical problem at hand. In detail, our model only req...
متن کاملTowards positivity preservation for monolithic two-way solid-fluid coupling
We consider complex scenarios involving two-way coupled interactions between compressible fluids and solid bodies under extreme conditions where monolithic, as opposed to partitioned, schemes are preferred for maintaining stability. When considering such problems, spurious numerical cavitation can be quite common and have deleterious consequences on the flow field stability, accuracy, etc. Thus...
متن کاملTwo-way coupling of an ENSO model to the global climate model CLIMBER-3a
We present a model study that investigates to what extent it is possible to introduce ENSO variability to an Earth system Model of Intermediate Complexity (EMIC). The Zebiak–Cane ENSO model is dynamically coupled to the EMIC CLIMBER-3a, which by itself exhibits no interannual or multidecadal variability. ENSO variability is introduced to CLIMBER-3a by adding ENSO-related sea surface temperature...
